About the Book

How would you like to spend less resource on:

Dealing with disciplinaries /grievances;

Correcting mistakes;

Staff absence?

By using the process for sewing eyes onto knitted chickens, made for charity, Anna has identified a number of life skills that managers benefit from developing - primarily people skills.

Written in a concise, easy to read, manner the manager is encouraged to think about their own work situation and style in order to develop a more people-centred approach with their team in order to create smoother working life which gives the benefits happier staff and customer satisfaction.

You won’t find many answers in this book - it’s designed to provoke questions so that you can find your own best solutions.

About the Author

Born in Buckinghamshire, England, Anna found traditional education difficult to handle and at the age of 34 discovered that her challenges had largely come from being heavily right-brain dominant – a physical balance which is often a key attribute to having an interesting mix of dyslexic characteristics and providing a alternative style of thinking to that preferred by the current day educational systems.

Having worked for a number of years in customer service environments of several industries, she trained as a Trainer and took up a post in the Public Sector, where she wrote computer instruction manuals and customer focused distance learning material as well as designing and delivering classroom training.

Following this she moved into management in Human Resources, developing specialisms in Communications Management and Recruitment, as well as providing the wider generalist needs of the workplace, such as managing large teams and dealing with grievances and discrimination claims for management in general.  Her own team’s turnover has been equal to any other team typical of the work activity and environment.  This she attributes to managing in the style explained in this book which has led her to know and understand her staff’s individual needs.

For Anna, learning never stops.  In more recent years Anna has taken a keen interest in unleashing potential and has trained as both a Life Coach and the area of Dyslexia Correction.

Today Anna undertakes freelance work mainly in the corporate environment, capitalising on the skills she has learned through her managerial career and wider life experiences.
