So I waited for her to call as she said she had to get off the computer to call me, I reached for and placed the phone in my right hand and gently pressed my index finger against the talk button, with such great anticipation.
Anticipation more greater than a bottle of Heinz Ketchup turned upside down in a crowded restaurant waiting ever so patiently for that first drip of that liquid tomato taste to land on a warm plate of fresh cooked French Fries.
RING!!!! RING!!!! I was stunned to see the name Erica and who ever appear on my caller ID box for I knew it was my new found friend and I was so thrilled that she took a chance to allow yet another step of friendship to meet and form. I almost didn’t answer the phone before my answering machine picked up.

About the Author
Venoy Timothy Miller was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, the youngest of four children. According to family and friends he has always had an interest in short stories, he once stated he took that after his mother who herself has had some poetry published years before.
