About the Book

An old dog has a vision: an Indian and an enormous wolf beckon her.  She barks in excitement and wakes up her master.  In anger, he throws her out.  She follows the Indian and the wolf and starts a journey into a dreamlike world where, magically, she is given the gift of seeing in color.  A woman driving home on a dark country road encounters the dog and takes her home.

This tender story reveals what happens when humans open their hearts and minds to all of nature, discover the ability to communicate with animals and learn the meaning of unconditional love.

About the Author

Yvonne Rosario sees herself as an extremely lucky woman.  She finds it very fulfilling to work with people as a nurse in a New York City hospital and, at home in upstate New York, she enjoys the company of her two dogs, a cat, 4 cockatiels and her many books.  She is also happy receiving the frequent visits of loving friends and family (especially her precious grandchildren Rhys and Yolanda).  She has a positive attitude towards life, strongly influenced by her admiration for the Native American Indian culture and especially their belief in the unity of the universe and reverence for all things in nature.  Her affinity with this outlook has added a deeper dimension to her innate love and respect for all animals.  This story is based on a real event: a chance encounter with a scared dog found wandering on a dark country road a few years ago.
