God Deliberately created you and I to reign in this world. It is never the will of God for man to lead a thin life or succumb to the circumstances of life. However, for you to excel in your calling, for you to have a successful living, and for you to be as bold as lion in subduing the circumstances of life instead of succumbing to the adverse of life, you need to recognize the authority and potential given to you by the Almighty God. Failure to identify with this and applying it may result to becoming a prey to the storm of life.
In the beginning, when God created heaven and earth, he said to man, “Be fruitful and replenished the earth”. The creator wasn’t merely wishing that man should be fruitful and multiply; He authorized or empowered man to have dominion over this world. However, in order to exercise or benefit from the authority given to us, it has to be activated. Without activating it, it remains dormant. The exercise of this authority calls for faith, praying and studying the word of God. The victory over this world is by our faith.
Animals reproduce its kinds, births reproduce its kinds, fish reproduce its kinds and crops also produce its kinds. God is no exemption in this reproduction exercise. He gives birth to gods. We are gods. The plan of God for us is to be victorious in this life. And this calls for exercising our authority in Christ Jesus. It must be noted that we exercise our authority or faith in God over satanic interference and circumstances of life. After all, life itself is war. But then, master Jesus has a hilarious words for as regards to this: “Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world”.
Whenever we are faced with challenges, or the storm of life is interfering with our peace, we should bear it in mind that Jesus Christ has overcome the battle on our behalf, before ever we do something about the situation. It is important to note that the creator of heaven and earth does not guarantee us absolute peace and tranquility in this world. The only place we can find these is in heaven. However, it is not impossible for you to make your world a paradise, by faith and corresponding action.
It is needful to understand that for you and I to achieve our hear-desires or goals we are not just going to sit down and watch these things drop into our laps. Of course, the enemy of our souls does not want us to live to our very old age, let alone to achieve our aims. This calls for a battle. Whether you like it like it or not , you are involved in this battle. Call it spiritual battle, if you like.
Mathew 11:12 says, “Since the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of God suffers violence and men of violence take it by force”. You are obliged to be violent, spiritually. Our creator in his infinite goodness has powerfully equipped us for the spiritual battle. The scripture has it that, “Our warfare is not carnal, but has a divine power in pulling down the strongholds of the devil.” God promises us that if we pass through water, we would not be drowned, and if we pass through fire, we would not be burned, because he is ever with us. In order to activate this promise of God, we must put on the whole armour of God.
In the book of Ephesians 6:11-17, we are urges to “put on all God’s armour so that we will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies-the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty Satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. So we should use every piece of God’s armour to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, we will still be standing up.
