A few close associates have assisted me in coping emotionally with those forces around

Me beyond my control.  I write about them as individuals each trying to be successful in

Coping with the stresses of everyday life thrust upon them.

Society presents writers with a wealth of opportunities to comment upon.  Mother Nature

Affects all of us.  Daily activities provide us with triumphs and defeats.  Some of our

Successes are short term.  Some of our defeats provide us with learning experiences

History over the past 50 years has provided us with a multitude of events and

Experiences reflecting both triumph and tragedy.  People have come out of the shadows

Of obscurity to make their presence known .  Others upon the basis of different psycho-

Porary life to strike a blow against society making the survivors more determined to

Prevail in the long course of events.
