Operation Iraqi Freedom II (OIFII)

In an attempt to let the American people know what I experienced while deployed in Northern Iraq, hopefully my first book will prove to be an insight to all who would like to know what it was like to defend a nation. This book is an account of what happened, what I saw and what I did. I did my job to the best of my ability and it’s nothing but the truth, so help me God. I know I am of sound mind and not fooling myself as I wrote any of it. In writing this book, I hope to convey my own point of view and to teach others what I know. I’m not a teacher nor a literary genius. I just wanted my story to be known to maintain my own sanity and demonstrate the importance of patriotism, teamwork, and making the world a better place to live. In that year long deployment, I had many things to write down so I wouldn’t forget. Much of it is not exactly positive in nature. It may point out mistakes that others, or even I, have made. I have never written a book before and never had a desire to, but considering the dispositions I have encountered, brought about the perfect opportunity. Also in the process, it made sense to insert my autobiography. Some of the passages in this book are a collection of things I have found over the years to be inspirationally written by others and will give credit where credit is due. It took me many years of different scenarios to work up to the decision to write such a book. As you read, put yourself there and understand the sacrifices that war veterans endure. In doing so, I believe we can, as a nation, surely help each other along.
