About the Book

The story is set around a small walled town that is built into a cliff side and surrounded by deep forest. It’s a story of humans verses Athamans as they battle it out for more territory and the ultimate power. Diego the main character is a hunter of the Athaman, like an assassin for the humans. He however is not looked on as a hero but more so as an outcast trying to be accepted.

He hunts with his trusted and loyal foxes by his side, they are his only family. He doesn’t have many close friends, the closest being a young lad of ten named Grey who idealizes Diego. Grey has no father and so the pair developed a father, son relationship.

Diego’s life and routines are thrown apart when he fights a young Athaman who is stronger then any other before him. Leaving him confused and looking for answers, he heads into the forest to find out the truth but perhaps later he wishes he had stayed out.

About the Author

All the way through my childhood my teachers would remark on how I had a vivid imagination; my mum still always reminds me how it was once written on a school report, quirky sense of humour. I guess my love for story writing stems from this naivety of still being able to picture a situation in my head; be it funny or sad. Sometimes when I watch a film or read a book I will change the ending to my version; I even map out in my head possible sequels.

I started writing stories down from the age of ten and I’ve been passionate to get a book published since. I hope to make available stories that will inspire more people to read; especially the younger generations. I actually found it hard to read as a child and I would like to help those children similar to me to be more confident in their selves and their abilities.

I feel that a good book is one that stays in your mind and thoughts, leaving you questioning it for days to come; I hope to achieve this feeling with my writing.
