About the Book

Separation of Church and God,

The Final Judgment.

If you have ever wanted to know the truth about what the Bible says, and what God really wants you to do in your life, without all of the man made rules and religious fervor mixed in, this book is for you. It was written in a straightforward manner for church goers, ex church goers, people who have given up on God, non Christians, atheists, agnostics and the undecided common man on the street who is seeking the truth about God. This book, like none before it, outside of the Bible itself, separates the imperfect church from the perfect God.

About the Author

Jack Heckathorne was born in Pasadena Texas to a middle class family, in 1950. Early on in life he developed an interest in God. Raised up in a conservative Southern Baptist Church in Genoa, Texas (now part of Houston) he was taught the basic Gospel message of the Bible. As he grew up he visited many churches, and noticed discrepancies in what the Bible taught with what was being taught in many of them. He was shocked at what some churches were teaching, and how far apart they were from the Bible. At age 8 his mother took him to a church in downtown Houston, where he developed an in-depth interest in the Bible over the years. “The place looked like an airplane hanger left over from World War II, and the preacher was a former WWII Army Air Corps Colonel,” he would say years later. But what he found inside would stay with him until the present time. What he discovered in his many years there, was a church that taught the Bible faithfully, and without confusing religious rules, and taboos. This book is a serious study of the Bible, and yet sprinkled with southern expressions and down to earth humor. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride but at the same time never loses focus on God. As one test reader put it:

“This book made me think, it made my cry, it made me mad, and it made me laugh, but more importantly, it taught me things in a way that make sense, and in the end it gave me a great feeling of security”

This book is a non pretentious, no holds barred culmination of the authors forty five years of study and observation. Nearly six years in the writing, it is well researched, well laid out, easy to understand, and it is truly unique.
