THE “BLUEHOUSE” LODGE
What is a LODGE ?
To immediately dispose of the notion that a Lodge is a Building where Masons meets or assemble for the workings of a Lodge, is false. Too often emphasis is and has been placed on the physical structure that’s supports the organization rather than what the purpose of the organization really is. This is due to several reasons, for our purpose, we will only explore one. One of simply misunderstanding… The physical address of a Lodge serves solely the purpose of control, only to the extinct of having a known location that all members of the Lodge is aware of, this cuts down on where each time and all members of the Lodge know when and where the assembly is to take place. “Whereby, the required number are present and those authorized to legitimize the assembly are present, constitute a Lodge.”
The members of this organization present at its assemblies is what truly makes-up the Lodge. This is supported by defined “Ancient” customs as we have learned in previous exploits of where our ancient brethren have met. The assemblies that a Lodge organizes are with valued and constructive purpose. All of its members are volunteers in their service, therefore, assembled Lodges should have or at its interim should move to create an objective focus for its existence.
It is extremely important that all members understand the objectives of his Lodge, and for those members to convey and stress to those who may solicit membership, without detailed actions of implementation, that his membership is for the service of the Lodge and not self-serving.
It is the responsibility of the Officers elected and appointed to ensure that its members and the Lodge itself have a direct and clear focus for the improvement of its community by raising the spirit of unity and brotherhood through objective reasoning and education.

About the Book
This book is written to assist the new as well as members of the Blue Lodge who have been around for some time, who have not fully understood the workings of the Lodge or the general structure of Masonry. It provides the reader with a General History of Masonry, Masonic Jurisprudence, Organizational Structure and BlueLodge Administrative Procedures, just to name a few. I hope that all may find it encouraging as well as a useful tool in further developing a better understanding of the basic working of the craft and that it motivates you to continue your exploits for further development for "More Light".
About the Author
The Author of this book, Bro. A. Keith Jones has been apart of the Prince Hall Masonic family since 1988, serving in several seats of the BlueLodge from Lodge secretary to Master of the Lodge, obtaining and working in several offices and seats of York and Scottish Rite Masonry and Mystic Shrine, as well as obtaining the 33rd and Last Degree of Ancient Craft Masonry. He has developed a vast amount of knowledge and experienced which has served as the motivational inspiration for the development of this book. Through this book, he wishes to inspire others to further develop their Masonic Education to better understand the beauties of this "Time Honored Society" of friends and Brothers.
