I want you to be strong as you read this book to unvail some of the very thoughts and occurrences in your life that I have experienced which gives you some insight of why they are happening. Stand on the rock of your salvation and doing all you can, stand in the evil days knowing God got your back.
As I began my journey with God, I found adversity staring me in the face and the enemy was trying to stop me from doing the work of the Lord. I knew I had to make an earnest effort to press my way and continue to do as the
Lord had commanded me to do and in that very moment of fighting the enemy, the Holy spirit, the comforter Jesus sent to comfort me had reminded me that I have all power over the enemy. Immediately I commanded the enemy in the name of Jesus to flee and he was gone. Wow, what an experience that was realizing I had witnessed how the Holy Spirit brings back to my memory scriptures to aid me in battle. I am convinced that Jesus lives and that I am becoming more like Him, the one who foreknew me before I was even conceived.
God has given humanity (His highest form of creation) an opportunity to have eternal life through salvation (preservation from destruction or failure; redemption; deliverance from the power and effects of sin). He has made a way for us to receive this salvation in Romans 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I have provided for you some additional scriptures concerning salvation because I know some of you really do not know what salvation is all about. I am glad you really want to know because I have prepared myself to walk with you. Let me take you down the road of salvation, which I believe will aid you in making the right decision if you have not done so. I believe this road allows you to see that we all were not worthy of the call or of His grace and mercy but God made a way.
I knew I had to be spiritually sound to identify with things to come. At this point in my walk I knew that trials and tribulations would ultimately increase because God was going to test me. All I knew was to get prepared and pass the test. Remembering II Timothy 2:15 (Study to show thyself approved unto God; a workman who rightly divides the word of truth and is not ashamed of the gospel), I began to research and define what evil meant so I looked it up in a Webster dictionary. The Webster dictionary revealed that evil is wicked, causing or threatening distress or harm. I continued my course of study and found out that a demon was an evil being, devil or friend. A persistently tormenting person, force, or passion.
As I continued my study and realizing that all the devil wants to do is to kill me, I guarded myself with God’s word and stood on the rock of my salvation and suddenly a stillness filled the room, the hair on my back rose up and immediately I began to pray. Not knowing what type of spirit I was dealing with, I commanded in Jesus name that the unclean spirit would flee and not to return. I thank God for his faithfulness and His strength to withstand the fiery dart of the wicked. I continued to study and kept my focus while seeking more understanding, I found that there was a place called hell and that the bible gives two descriptions of it. One is of a burning fire. The word Ghenna is what Jesus used which was a refuse dump outside Jerusalem that was always on fire and the evil ones there are full of remorse and torment, Mark 9:43-48. About the Book
I am writing this book “The Life as a Minister” to share with the Christian faith and leaders my lasting excitement while serving in a leadership capacity as a minister. No other area of intellectual work has gotten my attention that overlaps so many fields of knowledge. I looked at how science and humanities offer such varied insight into troubling questions of our time. I believe any one who use this text will come to an understanding that ministry starts by serving, which is the door for the blessings to flow. As a minister, I found that the way ministry is conducted has a social change as well. The church is affected by how we live and respond to our surroundings. This is also found in my introduction as well.
The inspiration by the Holy Spirit to put in writing the uniqueness of how God deals with His highest creation (man). In this book you will find some richness that will guide you on your road to victory. I believe without fail that in great specifics throughout the book that you will come to an understanding of how the Life as a Minister really is. There is no glamour by far in the position as a minister however I was compelled to share my walk with you. I believe that while you are experiencing the particularly chosen words demonstrating some characteristics that will cause you to look at your walk. God will be in your mist and will quicken your spirit illuminating His word to you.
Also I want you to understand your walk may not be like mine but if you achieve the elevation to this position you would have some closer insight on what could possibly be awaiting you. Within these pages hold some dear events that have molded my character and way of life. Surely there will be times of mourning but when God is for you then who in the world can be against you. Enjoy the richness.
About the Author
Kenneth Boone Sr. was born February 20, 1966 in Newport News, Virginia. He is the youngest of eleven children. He received his High School diploma from Phoebus High School June 1984, his Associates of Arts from Central Texas College in December 2003 and he is currently seeking his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Kenneth has proven himself to be an extinguished young man, he is currently a minister of the Gospel and he seeks his calling as a Pastor. He enjoys family time and loves watching action-packed movies. He has a passion for fishing and coaching sports. He has been married to Karen L. Boone (Taylor) of Lancaster, Virginia for 19 years and together they have three gorgeous children: Kandice, Katisha and Kenneth Boone Jr. Kenneth is presently serving in the United States Marine Corps looking to retire in the near future and become a School Psychologist for the Department of Defense Schools. Kenneth’s life-filled experiences allowed him to expand his coast and reach out further in ministry.
