About the Book

About the Author

Dr. Robert F. Cullum Th.D. has continued to tell real life stories.  He has dedicated the second book Church Mouse Adventure Stories to his grandson Christopher Kyle Johnson.  The book relates several stories with settings from around the world and as a result of Dr. Cullum’s travels on life’s road.

The first Church Mouse book has enjoyed comments from hundreds of readers who found times of laughter and tears as he told his story about Pastoral care to the mentally ill and retarded.

Since retirement, Dr. Cullum has found the joy of painting and continues to write.  He serves on community boards like Crosspoint, a half-way house for former federal prisoners.  He was honored to serve as their most recent President of the Board in 2005.  Cullum was recently honored by his High School in Villa Grove, Illinois.  His name and a plaque were placed on the Wall of Honor at the school.

He has recently volunteered to help the homeless and has become an ordained Deacon in his local church.  At the last annual convention of The Association of Professional Chaplains, he was a part of the celebration of their sixty year anniversary.  He and several of the living presidents were honored by the association.  The most recent life commitment is to serve on a local board the Joni effort to meet the needs of the handicapped.

Cullum holds a Doctor of Theology, two Master’s degrees in the fields of Religious Education and Theology from the Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.  He is a member of a writer’s group and is studying Art under the instruction of Ms. Karen Mccally.

Dr. Cullum is married to Shirley R. Harvengt Cullum.  They reside in San Antonio, Texas and have the joy of three daughters and six grandchildren.  Since retirement, they have traveled extensively. Their special spice in life remains to be their strong faith in Christ.

It is his hope that your own memories and adventures will come to light as you read this second Church Mouse book.  A man is not defined by what he has that matters.  What matters is the values by and what he does for others.  Your children and their children’s children need to know your stories.  Maybe Church Mouse Adventure Stories will spark your own desire to open your life to those that have followed you.
