Jesus Does Heal Today

Have you ever had one perfect moment when time just stood still?

When you didn’t move, or think or speak.

Where there is no past or future and you are frozen in your present.

You are in a perfect peace with God and time just stands still.

You are drinking in the beauty around you in that one perfect moment.

When you move the connection to God is broken,

but it will happen again when you look for it

because God will not leave you or forsake you.

So keep looking and looking for that perfect moment in time,

when God will visit you again and time just stands still.

Christ on the Cross

Do we really think we know how much Christ suffered for us?  For our salvation and healing.  He was a human being just like us.  Try to imagine being repeatedly scourged by the soldiers, his skin ripped apart with huge holes.  The soldiers kept torturing him in all unthinkable ways.  His face became so marred no one could recognize him.  Why did he accept all this when he could have stopped it at any time?  Because he knew he had to do it for all of us.  You see it was not just the soldiers who killed him, it was you and me.  He had to die to atone for our sins.

Then the crown of thorns was jammed on his head the blood flowing down over his marred face.  His side was pierced and he hung on the cross for hours.  It was at that point, when all the sins of the world were put on him, he called out “My God, my God why have you forsaken me?”  At that time his father had to turn away from him unable to help him and so he called him God instead of the loving father he had always known.  Can you begin to imagine how horrible that was for him?  Both Jesus and his father knew it had to be this way for him, to be the sacrificial lamb.  But even the knowing does not make it easy.  It is never easy to suffer.  Finally, “it is finished” was his cry and he died on the cross at Calvary for us.  All of us.  We all have come short of the glory of God. 

He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our protector, our health, our healer, our provider and our tower of strength, our place of safety, our rest and our peace.  He is our only God.  There are no others.  Cars are not a God.  Money is not a God.  Jewelry is not a God.  Bring Jesus Christ into your heart and life today and you will never be the same again.  Salvation is free for the asking.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!  Amen and Amen.
