About the Author

Kristi Reirden Donay, Ed.S, is a certified school psychologist.  She obtained her Bachelors degree from the University of Evansville, with a focus on secondary education in the fields of sociology, psychology, and history.  The combination of Division I volleyball and a demanding academic schedule taught her strong skills in the areas of organization, planning, time management and goal setting.  Using these skills she continued her education, obtaining a Masters degree and an Educational Specialist degree in the field of school psychology from Kent State University.  Kristi has spent the past fourteen years working with children and adolescents in the gym or the classroom, as an educator, a traditional school psychologist, an intervention specialist, and a volleyball coach.  For the last six years she concentrated on her work with adolescents in the public school system.  Supporting teachers, families, and students throughout the education process has always been her focus.  This is her first book.  Kristi is married with two young sons, and is currently continuing to write and do research in the field of education and family dynamics.
