About the Book

After loosing their father to the horrible national influenza epidemic of 1918, two young boys are forced to learn the true meaning of family. When their mother remarries, and the stepfather decides that the boys must go, their lives are turned upside down. For young Clovis, the road to recovery spans years, and is riddled with emotional battles. Taking a lesson from the very flowers he associates with bad luck, Clovis resolves to grow "deep roots" that will give him the strength to face his greatest fears -- the confrontation with his step father. "I Remember the Flowers" will leave the reader crying and wanting more. It's a true emotional journey, sure to become an epic.
