The thought of lemonade couldn’t help
‘Lemonade sure sounds good’
as she reached in her skirt pocket, pretty and pink.
“Just as I had hoped,”
“Just as you had hoped what?” Came a voice ornery and proud.
“Well hello,”
“I was hoping I had this, just what I see.
A quarter for a delicious cup of lemonade.
I hope it is hand squeezed, fresh and homemade.”
