About the Book

“The Call of Duty” The saga continues with Jim Ireland and Melissa Mc Guire. He is still a member of Defiance, a Marine Corps elite attack rescue team, and she is still a Marine working at the Com-Center at Camp Pendleton, California.

            The sequel brings about many changes in their lives. Again it is full of many surprises and much suspense. Although the romance continues between the two of them, the team known as Defiance gets the call of duty again but for a special reason this time. Due to the delicateness of the rescue mission, the commanding General in charge of the First Marine Division at Camp Pendleton calls for volunteers only. When they find out who they will be attempting to rescue they all volunteer to go even with the strange circumstances they would be facing--- territorial problems and having no weapons with them when they leave. 

About the Author

            He was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on December 15, 1939. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1957 at age seventeen. In May of 1958 he joined the US Marine Corps. He left the Marine Corps in 1961 with many happy memories of all the friends he had made.

            He returned to St. Cloud and worked the trades foe a while. In 1970 he moved to Avon, Minnesota, population 1000 with three beautiful lakes in and close to the town. Two years ago he finished his first book and found a publisher. He has now written the sequel and a third book is underway.
