About the Author

Hallie H. Douglass was born and raised in the coalfields of West Virginia. She graduated from high school in 1955 and attended the Apex School of Cosmetology located in NYC. She and her family then migrated to New Jersey in 1957. She had various positions of employment before she retired in 2003 from Horizon B/C/B/S/NJ.  She has been very active in her church as a leader of various ministries and a member of the world famous Back Home Choir for over forty years.

Hallie is the mother of four adult children, two boys, two girls and six grand children.

And Then I Prayed is her first novel. She currently resides in Belleville, N.J.
