About the Book

The Sound of Color was created while the author, Andrea Parris, was studying music and art for early childhood and education. “I believe it is very important to make reading material available in a variety of styles for young readers. I also believe it is equally important that the material is applicable to children of every race, creed and color.”

- Andrea Parris

The Sound of Color has an educational component that pertains to color and music fundamentals. It also stirs the imagination of its readers as they enter a fictional world without these creative outlets. Children worldwide will enjoy this short story’s captivating tale.

About the Author

Andrea was born in Queens, New York, and is the eldest of two brothers. She attended Borough of Manhattan Community College while studying Liberal Arts. She currently resides in Warner Robins, GA with her husband, Arthur Parris, their daughter, Joya, and son, James.

As a wife of over 18 years, and a mother of two teenaged children, Andrea desires for all children to have equal opportunities to succeed in life. Fellow authors, mentors, and educators motivated her to pursue the publishing process for her first children's book, The Sound of Color.

She especially enjoys creating literary expressions for young readers, and desires to continue to contribute into the lives of children through other works in the near future.
