The term “get over it” can be used to mean many things and has various levels of severity. We may use this term in anger or in jest. We can speak it to ourselves or to someone else. “Get over it” can mean, give me a break; leave me alone; I don’t care what you think; snap out of it; recover; get a grip; survive; let go; or be free. We can say it with an attitude or whisper it under our breath.
So I say to you again, “GET OVER IT!!!” You committed yourself “until death do you part”. Well you parted and your spouse is still alive. (No!!! you can’t pray for them to die, and you can’t throw a banana under their feet!!!) You didn’t get married expecting your marriage to fail but since you are divorced, “Get Over It.” In other words, recover, get a grip, survive, let go and move on. “Get Over It.” Don’t be stuck by what others think; or by what other’s feel God is saying to you. In order to move on with your life, you may have to tell others to “Get Over It.” Leave me alone. Give me a break. I’m not interested in your opinion.
My brothers and my sisters, I have been divorced for over twelve years. I have moved from victim to survivor, from survivor to victor. I became more than a conqueror because I learned how to let go and move on. I turned a deaf ear to opinions and to the voices Satan put into my head. I wrapped myself up in God. Sometimes I had to tell myself “Get Over It.” Other times I felt like telling others to “Get Over It” (A.K.A. GET LOST, bleep, bleep, bleep, in Jesus name). I speak to you with the love of Christ, as someone who has shared similar experiences. I speak to you as someone who wants you to move from victim to more than a conqueror. Get Over It by asking God, who is the source of your strength, to heal you and help you to move on with your life.

Get over people''s attitudes, doctrinal debates, your hurts, your fears, unforgiveness, feelings of rejection, anger, bitterness, low self-esteem, guilt, depression, even thoughts of suicide or murder. When you move on with your life, God will turn your pain into power, your tears into joy, your defeat into victory. You will move from victim to more than a conqueror!
