About the Book

Bonnie's 'Tote Bag of Rhymes' puts her collection of poetry into three smaller totebags: Love, Laughter, and Crumbs.  The Love poems are partly inspirational, but also includes every day up-lifting moments. Laughter is a necessary part of every person's life to keep them sane and healthy.  Laughing is also a favorite past-time of Bonnie's.  After every feast, there are the left-overs, the crumbs, the bits and pieces that defy categorizing.  Sometimes, as one clears the table, that stolen bit is more delicious than the heavier portions of a formal feast.  Sample from each totebag, find goodies in each, then go back and enjoy the entire feast!

About the Author

Bonnie's work reflects her background of life in rural and small town Illinois.  During her years of teaching, she shared her poems and songs with her students, and also the entire community.  A graduate of Greenville College, she also has a Master's in Psychology from the University of Illinois.   Her work has been published in newspapers, magazines, fliers, and other media as well as in four previous books.  Bonnie uses her talents and her varied work and life experiences on a daily basis as she keeps busy with volunteering, Club work, playing piano and other church work.  Her work reflects the fact she loves to laugh and to brighten the day for others.

She recently lost her husband of many years, but still enjoys traveling and visiting her two daughters and their extended families.
