About the Book

“Kitty Cat Tales” is the beginning of a series of stories about “Baby Kitty”. Baby Kitty was found by the side of the road and given to Kathleen who nursed him back to health. Baby Kitty gave so much love and enjoyed being an  adventurer. He liked to explore and see “all about life” in the simplest and smallest ways. Enjoy “Kitty Cat Tales” as he shows you how caring, kindness and imagination are all around us in refreshing, simple ways.

Kathleen LaManna was inspired by her three little girls to write the series of “Kitty Cat Tales” because of their love for reading, art and animals. As a child, Kathleen grew up primarily in the South. Her five brothers and she would spend endless summer days swimming, exploring the woods and neighborhood, having one adventure after another. The woods were one of her favorite places to explore because there imagination had a blank canvas. Today she still feels like life offers a blank canvas to all of us. It’s how you choose to paint it. Her middle daughter has come through Leukemia twice and thyroid cancer. Through all that she has experienced with her three daughters, her outlook is clear... life is for living and to always follow your dreams

About the Illustrator: 

Lisa Lovitsch has been teaching and coaching elementary

through high school children for 14 years. Much of her life has been spent exploring her artistic and athletic talents. In both fields, she has received numerous awards for individual accomplishments. She has been able to use this unique combination in her classroom to inspire students to find their own special gifts in her approach to life. Lisa is passionate in her approach to life, and to all of her students she offers one bit of advice... “Never sit back and watch... be proactive in your thoughts. Good things come to those who seek opportunities.”

About the Designer: 

Dawne Lundahl grew up on the east coast. Her fondest memories as a child were the times she spent with her family at the ocean in Rhode Island. In 1988 she founded Dawne Parrilla Design in Chicago, combining her creative background in graphic design and advertising with the latest in computer technology. For the past 18 years Dawne has worked for leading advertising agencies and corporations on national consumer and trade accounts and has earned numerous awards in her field.
