Nobody said anything. There was nothing to say. For the previous two days Jack and Oscar had disturbing information which most likely was privy to them only, and had not come up with any answer.
“Gentlemen we have to be careful” Dr Schumer cautioned. “It may well be so, but you know that would be the biggest news since Jesus’ resurrection, and if not well controlled could throw the world into turmoil. Human psyche though keenly searching for extra-terrestrial life is surely not ready to confront one. It would find it hard to handle, because it would mean the perceived centrality of humanity in the order of things would be fundamentally shaken. We would not be special after all, which is what our minds have been conditioned to believe”
“Dr Schumer is right. This matter needs to be handled carefully. It is a time bomb, and what is worse is it can cause a world wide scare, just to later turn out to be one of those rickety old Russian space vehicles limping back to earth”
“I wish that is what we are dealing with but there are no satellites that big, let alone at that distance,” Schumer said.

About the Book
When astronomers using the Keck Telescope atop Maua Kea accidentally discover an alien spaceship orbiting Earth at 28,000 km, some pillars of human civilization were badly shaken. Shock and disbelief gave way to fear among scientists when they spotted living beings in the spaceship. The worst came when the closely kept secret leaked out leading to global disorder. Billions of panicked people got on the move—to anywhere, ignoring international boundaries and laws and sparking conflicts. Elsewhere combatants deserted warfronts to join the migrating masses. Banks collapsed. Billions proclaimed it the second coming, as others swore they were spirits of the dead. Governments and the entire economies got to the brink of collapse, and the world changed forever!
About the Author
The author, a medical doctor has keen interest in the origin of life on Earth and possible existence of an extraterrestrial one. With the billions of galaxies out there, many with old enough stars and even planets, he believes there is life outside Earth. There is no reason why whatever happened here to bring life could not happen on countless planets that must be similar or closely resemble Earth.
He also believes conditions do not need to be similar or closer to those on Earth for life to exist. Extraterrestrial life does not need to resemble any existing on Earth now or in the past, and when found it will reflect conditions found where it sprang up.
