Still Waters

About the Book

Still Waters is a collection of poems written, or “lyrically painted”, as dynamic sketches across the canvas of undergraduate and post-graduate life.  Each piece depicts different shades and hues that everyone is familiar with, or can relate to, on some level. Each “brushstroke” is made with the oils of a distinct category:  dreams, memories, inspirations/testimonies, romance, and sorrow.

About the Author

Rahsaan Franchot Long began writing poetry during his matriculation as an undergraduate at Tennessee State University.  There was always something going on within the auspices of campus life that he was able to observe and use as inspiration for his poetry.  Rahsaan is able to flip his analytical/engineering mind and produce descriptive works that are not only beautiful and fresh, but passionately detailed, such that, he is able to draw the readers’ senses into the poetry as well as a piece of themselves.

Rahsaan graduated from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification.  He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a MBA-Technical Management degree.
