About the Book

Sometimes people think Joshua is a little strange, but he is actually really cool. He shows his friend cool things that others often take for granted… and today he is going to share with her something wonderful and amazing that she may never have even noticed at all unless she looked really closely. In sharing his Startabulous Dream Maker with his friend, Joshua helps her see that sometimes the most amazing things in life are right above your head…if only you take the time to look. Let Joshua show you his Startabulous Dream Maker and maybe…just maybe…if you look hard enough…you’ll really see Joshua for the first time too!

About the Author

The author is a poet and writer of short stories who is currently working on a literary collage of both to be her next printed offering. She is the mother of an autistic child who, as a strong advocate for autistic inclusion, has made it her mission to break down the stereotypes and stigma attached to autism. Through her work she hopes to bridge the gap of understanding for the typical world so that they can better understand, accept and assimilate people like Joshua into main-stream society. Working diligently to strip away labels of disability to reveal the person underneath, she hopes in the future to offer more work that examines and demystifies barriers between people with and without disabilities. She currently lives in Springfield, MA with her husband, two sons, two cats, a dog and assorted under attended plants.
