In Your Face

SILVER PLATTER

I thought I had it all figured out by now.

So I hand you my heart on a silver platter.

That’s when the arrows poke through,

again I have been a fool under your strings.

There is nothing left, reaching into my chest.

I pick up the pieces and mold it,

yet to another heart.

Place it on a silver platter and hand it to you,

for you to feast on, and fill your stomach.

The iron gate has long been dropped.

No more soft lips to kiss......

Only metal flavor on my tongue.

INNOCENT GAMES

        Last night we played like children

         Showing of different parts

         Squeezing everything we could

         Grab a hold of.

         Kissing different fruits.

         Though like children we played last night

         Far from innocent we felt when the sun rose.

         I opened up the grapefruit bags

         they tasted bitter and sweet.

         My Holy Grail is filled with butterflies

         It makes me giggle and do the bridge.

         Blocks that hold me up.
