No money in the world can compensate the denial of a full and rich life to a newborn child. This is the story of Alma.

After a normal and healthy pregnancy, her mother went to give birth to the hospital at a military base in Texas. Rushing through the process, an unscrupulous physician used forceps in such a negligent an irresponsible way as to mar forever Alma´s brain and body. Nevertheless, the case becomes an example of how, in spite of all odds, a government can be brought to face its responsibility.

In an extraordinary demonstration of perseverance and devotion moved by love, Alma’s parents along with their Texas attorneys Michael Archuleta and Bill Whitehurts did not leave a single rock unmoved to guarantee their daughter a life nurtured by excellent care and the maximum potential her mutilated brain and body could achieve.
