Who you are is not a problem for most, but where you are going is the stumbling block. Why you want to succeed is obvious and how to get there is, too, but where you want to end up seems to be your lifelong pursuit—rather than the beginning of a lifelong pursuit. Why?
When you are the only one on Earth, you fear no one; but if one other appears, you begin to sense you have competition. This sense of being in competition then brings you to the point where you decide within yourself whether or not you should fight or take flight. Birds will take flight and man tends to fight, but woman will usually settle into a battle that may take years to determine who is first in line.
If a woman is not in the prime of her life she may let others take precedence over her and lead, but all others struggle to dominate. The picture of women being docile and complacent is erroneous. Women are and always have been fighters, and fighters are not known to take captives.
What a woman needs to do in order to become all she can be is learn to adjust to others who also want the same goals and permit them to also seek such goals in peace and harmony. What no woman needs is aggravating circumstances or people around her who prod or push and make demands. She can do that to herself well enough.
To put your own life into the machinery of humankind and see it fit and work is not of interest to most women. To experience admonishment for poor work or bad behavior is not the sort of behavior wanted either, but the work of today does neither suit nor benefit women. To be able to grow, a woman has to fit in and feel beloved or she will enter into a constant battle for supremacy over other women.
Why would women fight women? To be at the top of the list! You never know who you are if you are below another is the rationale used now, but that is not exactly why women struggle. Most want to be loved.

After graduating Summa cum Laude from The University of Pittsburgh, where she was invited to join their PhD programs in Psychology and Sociology, Ruth instead went to St. Francis College where she wrote her Master’s thesis on “Cost Containment of Benefits in a Declining Industry.” Although she received no corporate recognition for this outstanding work, it was effectively used during the downsizing of the American steel industry in the early 80s. Her career as a technical writer then centered on her ability to create and develop employee benefit programs that passed the most stringent accounting and business laws. With 30 years experience, Ruth cashed in her chips and walked away with no regrets—never to return to Corporate America.
Much happened in the life of this writer during the early years of her retreat, the most notable being that she lived ‘the good life’ day-to-day without any visible means of support---and accumulated no bills. Perhaps that is why a most unusual group of unseen entities, known simply as “The Teachers of the Higher Planes” entered her life and asked if she would write for them as their Scribe?
