Satan doesn’t have to attack people that are not followers of God, because he has them right where he wants them. But, once you profess Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, Satan is right there every step of the way trying to tempt you, to hurt you, to trip you up. You name it. He will try every trick in the book to make you miserable.
On the other hand, God begins to bestow blessings, happiness, and joy on our lives, because once we are his children, He wants us to have a good life. He wants us to be happy, and without worry and stress. He wants us to have blessings abounding in our lives. And, I have gotten much better at recognizing them as blessings, and saying “Praise the LORD!” when something good happens in my life, because I know He has given it to me. I’m not lucky, I am blessed.
Maybe you have noticed that when God calls you to do something, He always, yes ALWAYS, provides the means to accomplish it. As I was saying, my pastor’s sermon last Sunday was on prayer. I know that God called me to write this book. I have felt this urge for many weeks before I decided to sit down at my computer and actually begin. I told God that if He wanted me to write this book, that I would be the instrument, but He would need to tell me what it was He wanted me to say. Then, low and behold, my pastor’s sermon is on prayer just as I am to begin this chapter. This is no coincidence. I immediately took out a pen and turned my church bulletin over, in preparation for taking notes. I felt that God was providing a source of information.
My pastor began speaking on how powerful prayer is. He made the statement, “It is not just a privilege to pray, and it isn’t something we just casually do. It is a life and death thing.” My prayer life is something I take quite seriously, but hearing that statement made me really stop and think about it. There are a lot of catchy phrases I’ve heard over the years like, “God moves through prayer” and “Prayer makes things happen”. There have been many books written on the power of prayer. It does state in the bible to ask and we will receive. It also makes statements to “pray without ceasing” and “in all things, pray”. References to prayer are found in over 128 verses in the bible. Obviously our prayer life is very important to God. It is a life and death thing. It is our pipeline directly to God.

You pay taxes in one form or another, so regularly that it is a common occurrence. But, what are you doing to ensure that you will spend an eternity with God? If you answer that question, "I don''t know", you are in a dangerous lull.
The devil is very much alive and active on our earth today. But, you can wear the armor of God, conquer temptation and resist sin, and most importantly, strengthen your relationship with God.

I make no profession of being a sought after author, nor do I care to have my "name in lights". When God calls you to do something, you just do it. I have committed my life to living for my Savior and LORD, and the study of His word, and I give Him the glory for all I have accomplished in my life.
