Trav anxiously looked at the kitchen clock and wondered what was taking his girls so long? He grabbed his cell phone and hit the redial button, but all he got was the answering service. Slowly, he closed his cell and wondered what was taking them so long. When the phone rang, he felt relieved thinking, naturally, that it was his wife calling back. The call changed his life forever.
The male voice on the other end of the line asked him questions to verify who he was, and if he was, in fact, the co-owner of the Nissan found double-parked in an alley with the motor running. Trav demanded to know who it was on the line and what this was all about. When he finally calmed down long enough to absorb enough information, he dropped the phone and ran out the door, forgetting to even lock it behind him. When Trav reached the alley, it was filled with activity. It seemed that everyone in the city was there except his loved ones. The next two weeks were hell for Trav. The police were more of a hassle than a help. They finally got used to the idea that he did not have anything to do with his family’s disappearance. He didn’t know what was worse, them hounding him about his marital relationship or their inability to produce leads about his family’s whereabouts. Trav put in for a leave of absence and rode around endlessly and aimlessly trying to find some clue as to what could have happened. He even stopped people randomly on the street to show them pictures and ask, “Have you seen these two people?”

About the Book
Under normal circumstances Silly and Travis would never have met. After all a fourteen year old upper middle class white girl from suburbia would have nothing in common with a hard working black married man from the hood who was fast approaching middle age. But these were not normal circumstances. Travis’ life had been turned upside down by an act of urban terrorism, while Silly’s life had been disheveled due to domestic violence. When an act of fate brings them together they must work together to avenge the wrongs that have been done while at the same time avoiding criminal charges themselves. They must work together to administer justice and restore their lives to some form of normalcy in spite of the fact that all they hold sacred has been taken.
About the Author
As far as writing credentials are concerned I really don’t have any. I am a high school graduate of a trade school. I attended college for six months and got married. I went to work for the local housing authority in my city and worked my way up from a maintenance laborer to a maintenance superintendent. After twenty eight years of service and a failed marriage I started my life all over again by quitting the housing authority, getting remarried and starting a new career. I bought a truck and started my own delivery service. Truck driving is a lonely job that affords me a lot of time to just think. Taken is the product of an active imagination and the ability to retain my thoughts until I get home to my computer. I am currently working on three other works as well as continuing to drive my truck.
