About the Book
Quick Reference Journal (QRJ) was designed as both a personal organizer and spiritual journal. Its primary purpose is to create a reference tool for enhancing the effectiveness of one’s spiritual journey. Readers are encouraged to study the Bible and to annotate individual references to support their convictions and understanding of the Gospel. Other features have been integrated into this Journal to further its daily use, including a section for journaling, prayer requests, financial records, and more. QRJ offers a tool for integrating scriptural study and evangelizing into the fabric of one’s daily life. The nice thing about QRJ is one does not have to memorize the Bible but can read it, find the information being sought and annotate it in the Quick Reference Journal. The next time you are looking for a text or passage just go to your Quick Reference Journal, and the annotations will tell you exactly where to go to find the information. This journal will also be available in an adult version, and both journals will also be available in Spanish.
About the Author
All my life I have felt as if God has been right there. I remember a time when I was about 5 years old and I went outside one night to take out the trash. It was then that I heard Him talk to me for the first time. I remember looking up at the pitch black sky. I don't remember seeing the stars, but I do remember seeing the prettiest colors smeared across the sky; that was the first and last time I have ever seen the sky that way. I started running towards the house as fast as I could. I was not afraid of His voice. I now realize I was running from His calling.
People seem to be drawn to me for advice. Because of this, I am constantly praying that my advice will comfort them and they will find my words to be "as sweet as honey" and "as satisfying as a good meal."
Simply put, I love to help others. Life is complicated and through my writing and teaching I try to help people figure things out. I have come to realize that my ability to work with and help people is a gift given to me from God.
I am a retired veteran. I served 23 years in the United States Army, working as both a Personnel Management Specialist and a Senior Paralegal.
I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. I am currently working on a master's degree in Counseling with a minor in Victim Advocacy.
