About the Book

This book was started about five years ago, following a debate with a Jehovah Witness, and the words David said to that person. At the time, that person made excuses and left. David, realised he had received a revelation. It was the answer to questions he had asked, and prayed about.

If there is one God, then why did many nations, once believe in more than one God?

If all the ancient religions are false, then how can we be sure, that what we now believe is true, and not also false?

Why is religion, to some a dirty word, which can turn people away from God, rather than bring them to God?

In this book David provides answers to these questions: He examines the importance of belief, and language in our civilizations. How language, and belief is the essence of our culture.

He suggests that a certain event in our distant past lead to the creation of many different religions, and caused us to believe in many different Gods.

David explains; how God choose one individual whose descendents would become a nation of priests. A nation destined to be ruled by God via his son.

He examines what has gone wrong, and is wrong, with all religions since the birth of Jesus, and how we all continue to serve Babel and not God.

About the Author

David was born in 1949 in Bridgwater, Somerset. For thirty years he worked in London as a Civil Servant. He retired in February 2004 and moved to Bonn, Germany. Later that year God called him back to England and he now lives with his sister in Bridgwater.

He was brought up as a Christian by his parents but in his early teens he questioned the existence of God. His conversion occurred when he asked: “Was there a God, who love him enough, to allow his son to die on a cross for him. Could he reject such a God, out of hand?” He decided to go to church for a year and see what happened. By his late teens, he had become a disciple of Jesus.

David calls himself a Christian, preferring this to what denomination he is. What is important to him; is that he feels the presence of God daily in his life and in the church he attends.

Education is a daily process of enlightenment, with God as his Mentor, via God’s son Jesus. Despite his interest in History, Philosophy and Religion he believes this book would not have been possible without the help of his Mentor.

His first book was started following a revelation from God which occurred during a debate. He has plans for a further book, but daily seeks to serve God via Jesus, in whatever manner he is called.
