About the Book

Linka Lacey was a lot of things, but ordinary wasn’t one of them.  Along with Toby, her faithful companion,  and help from the ghost of  Saunders’ Pond, she will find the heart that beats as her own.

About the Author

Carolyn Holte was raised in rural Minnesota’s lake country and still lives in close proximity.   The love of writing was passed down from her mother and took root in her heart at an early age. As long as she can remember, she’s written anything from music to poetry and has published some while working at her families’ business.

After many years of contemplating, Carolyn decided to follow her heart and write her first novel.  “Saunders’ Pond” was a winter project birthed on a snowy night, deep in mid-January’s darkness.

Just like the character in her book, she too, shares her life with the companionship of her soul mate, husband Warren and their brood of pets.

Carolyn would like to thank all of you who have chosen to read her book and become part a dream fulfilled. Here’s hoping you all find a place like Saunders’ Pond, where love and life find a home.
