About the Book

Life is full of good as well as bad days, It rains today and the next day the sun shines. Old folks pass away, but a child is born. Today you get a new job, but tomorrow you are fired. Your friends praise you now, but hate you down the road. You are full of life today, but are knocked off your feet tomorrow. You are protected by jonr parents today, but face life alone later. The flowers bloom now, but fade away later. We give advice today, but seek advice tomorrow. Fire destroys the forest, but heats our homes. Everything is going smooth today, but tomorrow is full of confusion. Today our team wins, but we lose the next game badly. The car starts easily now, but does not start at all the next day. He is by our side to help us now, but is sent overseas to fight a war tomorrow. Everything is peaceful today, but then an earthquake strikes. We will never understand life as long as we live. We are to keep our chins up and face it day by day looking to God for courage to face each day. Here I am going to tell of the different events of my life including my trips outside the U.S.A., 34 years of teaching, otherjobs I held, my own school days, etc.

About the Author

I held 3 full-time jobs totaling 50 years - 7 in a large lumber company 34 teaching 7-8th grade Math and Science, and 9 working for a safety company. During my teaching career I wrote 12 booklets that were used in grades 7-8, F.O.M. classes at the high schools, and for the G.E.D. classes  at the evening classes.

I have traveled extensively — Israel, Europe, England, Scandanavia, Canada, Alaska, Mexico, Bangkok, Singapore, Hawaii, and several trips in the U.S.A.

I have written several articles for several books containing short stories such as the C.C.C. and similar events in my life. I have held many very interesting part-time jobs. I have 5 of them at the present time at age 76. I plan to "sear out, not rust out". Life is what you do with it as you live it. I am also in the process of publishing a book called "For Math Teachers: Grades 4-8". In it I show several ways of doing each type of example. My philosophy of teaching is to show the students several methods of doing an example, practicing a few examples using each method, and then letting the student decide which method he or she likes. This way they decide and not the teacher. We get the same answer no matter what method we use. We all think differently.
