About the Book

Synopsis

For everything life threw at me I had to rethink…

Where was I going in life and what purpose I served here?

It really bothered me to, see people hurting and that brought about thoughts of others.

I had ideas surfacing in my mind, so I thought the best thing was to put my thoughts on paper so I would be able too share with others what I was feeling.

As a reflective person I wanted others think with me

How they could help someone who may or may not be hurting.

I’m hoping everyone will read my book and find peace of mind or a better way of thinking.

This is an electric book of poems for everyday of life.  Regardless of the differences in people and their spirituality,  I hope that my words will relieve stress and bring balance to people’s lives.

Life is never settled, so everyone should make a choice and strive to balance his of her own life.

Where mountains are high and valleys are low and problems are stressful to life. Soon we can looked at life’s highs

So I make it a point to tell my children and grand-children that I love them.  If everyone would stop and look at life, and be more excited about it, then someone could help heal someones hurting soul.

Linda has four grand-children as the best wine is usually left far the last, Linda has a loving husband Gregory, who tells her to “stop experimenting in the kitchen.”  The greatest influence in her life she says are her friends and co-workers Jacqueline and Ingrid and Minister Elizabeth Townsend of the Apostolic church.

I’m a licensed Cosmetologist, and I love it!  In addition, I have other hobbies.  They include writing, creating, cooking, and dancing.  Best of all, I am a member of “Les Jeune Filles”, a young ladies club. We enjoy getting together and talking about books and life itself.  I attend William Hopper Council High School for a while; but graduated from Butler High School.  I went to night school while working during the day.

I attend the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of which Ricky L. Sykes is the pastor.

I have received my inspiration from good friends and a loving church family, which includes the following individuals; Elder Jerry and Elizabeth Townsend of the Apostolic  True Temple.  The ministers of this church have given me the opportunity to stand before their congregation and share my poetry with them.  I was scared of doing this until they told me God would be with me.  They inspired me to write the poem “Taking Me Under Your Wings.”  I thank them.

My goals include to one day be able to truly retire and relax in my dream home, with money, my husband, and my grands.  My biggest goal is to have my book published, and to have my inventions created.  I also desire to do a lot of traveling.
