Once upon a time there was a family that was extremely happy all the time. The daddy’s name was “Happy Pappy”, the mother’s names was “Happy Mommy, the brother’s names was “Happy Sonny”, and the sister’s name was “Happy Honey”.
They lived in a world that was totally different from any other families around. Their outlook on life was on of pure delight if you ever got a chance to meet them. Each and every day, they would try to accomplish the small task of touching someone, somewhere with a smile that would take you through each day knowing that the peace and laughter of being like them was the sure way to go.
The brother attended “Happy High School” and the sister attended “Smiley Elementary”. They had pets by the name of “Happy Dabbey” the dog and “Happy Fluffy” the cat. The numbers of hours they spend enjoying their pets company was never lost for words; for one day they hope to own a pet alligator whose name, of course, would be “Happy Ali”. Every morning when the family would arise there would be laughter and love throughout the entire house. All houses close by could hear the melodies of Hee! Hee! Ha! Ha! Everyday.
To some this might seem a bit strange or to some this might seem a bit crazy.
But this family was indeed one who could withstand any gloom or doom that might come their way. Now came the time for the family to go on a vacation; to go off and experience the love and adventure of meeting other folks who were not as happy as they were. Their vacation was to be spent in Hatchechubbee, Alabama. A small town on the outskirts of a small town. The people there were never friendly. They moaned, complained, cussed, and fussed all the time. If you saw someone passing nearby, the looks of sadness in their faces made you just wanna cry. One particular day, “The Happy Family” decided to take a trip to the nearby supermarket. Upon arrival they ran into a man by the name of “Mr. Stuffy”. Mr. Stuffy was once a very happy man. Yet now his world was oh, so sad. His beloved wife, Millie, had died and now he only wanted to sit, sit, sit; cry, cry, cry; and eat, eat, eat. He became so depressed one day that he ate thirty-five canned biscuits topped with lots of blueberry jam & strawberries, two watermelons, two dozen eggs, and drank a large pot of coffee. This to him was the perfect solution to drowning his sorrows. For he loved and missed his wife, Millie, so much.
Happy Pappy was waiting in the line behind Mr. Stuffy, when he approached the register to pay for his groceries. “Why so much food for such a small man,” said Happy Pappy? (Smiling friendly as they talked and talked and talked) You’ll never be able to drown your pain like that you know.
Slowing turning around very quickly, Mr. Stuffy noticed a little girl standing in the aisle across from them. He motioned for her to come closer. Very softly she started to sing over and over again:
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red & Yellow, Black & white
They are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Without any hesitation he hurried toward her with a big grin on his face from ear to ear, as to say “I Love You, too”!!!
He didn’t know that this was Happy Pappy’s daughter, Happy Honey. The two of them just laughed and laughed and laughed. For the love shared at this moment was super-happi-happi-listic-heart-to-heart-iosis.
Now Mr. Stuffy had forgotten all about his loneliness for his wife and not wanted only to live each day, each moment as though it was his last. (And definitely not to eat as much, ever!)
Shortly after they bought the food they needed for the trip, the Happy Family started toward their destination.
They traveled up hills, and down hill, never realizing that they needed desperately some gas for the car. They joy and happiness riding across country made them unaware that automobiles n
