PLANNING THE PERFECT WEDDING!

            I have photographed many weddings and have seen far too many things go wrong because there was not proper planning.  I have also seen problems come up that many brides-to-be in their most diligence of planning, would not think to consider.  I decided to write this book to give some insight into the things to watch out for, as well as some hints and helps to make your wedding day a smooth and less stressful event.

            This book will show how to easily avoid potential embarrassments.  Almost every possible wedding problem can be prevented with a little foresight.  My intention is to assist you in making two things turn out right: one, the wedding itself, and two, your wedding photos.  The book is a great tool because it is a workbook and also has checklists throughout to assist in your planning.

            Whenever I go into a couple's home who have been married for less than a year, I can almost always tell if their wedding went smoothly.  Nine times out of ten, if it did, their wedding album will be prominently sitting on their coffee table.  If the wedding did not go well, the album is usually buried in a closet somewhere.

            It is truly sad that there are untold thousands of couples that are terribly disappointed in their wedding photo albums.  However, it is not always the photographer's fault.  Wedding pictures are of utmost importance to the bride and groom, yet in their wedding planning, they don't always factor in the obstacles they may be creating for the photographer.  This book will show you how, with just a little more effort, you can plan a wedding that runs smoothly and insures beautiful wedding photographs.

            Wedding photographs are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and if they come out wrong, there is nothing you can do to fix them.  You certainly cannot restage the wedding and re-shoot the entire event.  Also, unlike the movies, there are no "retakes."  You say, "I do" one time, you have your first kiss as husband and wife one time.  Your "first dance" happens only one time.  If these treasured moments are missed by the photographer, or shot at a bad angle, they are gone forever.  So a missed opportunity forever remains just that.
