About the Book

Seen Glory Untold Story

Seen Glory Untold Story is the story of the seen glory of God, as told by Apostle Shirley Holloway Johnson.  It is the compelling and moving account of her struggles and triumphs to help people become whole through God’s Holy Word.

The story begins with the Apostle realizing her call from God to not only preach and teach the gospel, but also to reach out to countless drug addicted and disturbed souls, most of them with nowhere to go and no glimmer of hope.  But the call from God is fraught with many tests and trials, and is not an easy path to follow.

As the humbling process unfolds, Seen Glory Untold Story chronicles Apostle Holloway Johnson as she hears and heeds the calling of God.  It tells of the fears she had to overcome during her journey in spite of all the fiery trials.  And it tells of her strength as she endured the waiting period to arrive at the bountiful harvest, the harvest of God.

As you read Seen Glory Untold Story, you’ll find it hard to put it down, riveting, as you follow each step of the process and feel the pull of the Apostle to do what the Lord has called her to do.  It becomes evident during the course of her amazing story that she’s a divinely inspired woman whose determination won’t let any obstacles interfere with her God-given vision.

"Making People Whole Through Gods Holy Word”

His word comes to make us whole in every area of our life,

Physically, Mentally, Financially, Spiritually and Emotionally.

Apostle Johnson is a native of the State of New York.  As a young child, Pastor Johnson spent her years in the church, being taught the word of God.  At the age of fourteen, she asked Christ to come into her life as her personal Savior.  It was at this time that Pastor Johnson was saved and filled with the spirit of God.

When she was seventeen, Pastor Johnson preached her first public message and from that day on has been serving the Lord.  With a promising career with the U.S. Postal Service, her family settled in the suburbs of Maryland.

Apostle Shirley Johnson could have lived a comfortable and peaceful life, yet knowing that just miles away there were hundreds of men and women who did not have such comforts – some of whom were homeless, addicted to drugs and alcohol, or victims of domestic violence and street crime – she could not rest.  Using her resources and whatever time she had between work shifts, she ventured into one of the most crimeridden, devastated areas of the District of Columbia.

Responding to her heart’s call to serve those in need, Pastor Johnson’s ministry developed into House of Help/City of Hope, a faith based ministry to provide assistance to children of families, single men and women, single parents and children who need help to make their lives whole.  As well as meeting the needs for such necessities of food, clothing, shelter, and medical care.

House of Help/City of Hope provides Bible study, internal guidance, career counseling, WDFA meetings, parenting classes and life skills to allow residents to return to society as whole productive citizens.  House of Help/City of Hope has reached over five thousand individuals since it started in 1997.

Apostle Johnson’s favorite quote is Striving to be God’s Humble Servant. She is a dedicated wife, and mother of two. She is the Pastor of Victory Temple Church of Christ and overseer of Mount Olive Assembly. Apostle Johnson is a renowned speaker both nationally and internationally.

“Let us praise God for, all things are possible through Jesus Christ.”
