Let No Man Put Asunder

The revelation God provided in the divine rights brought great clarity and assurance…alas HOPE!     I had no further need to expect more of myself but now needed to wait, pray, and watch.  God unveiled what I and many other women could expect in today''s times. It was long overdue that I examine and look for concrete examples in him, my suitor and mate.

Preface:
     My life has changed...dramatically.  I''ve meticulously surveyed these changes in the recent past as if listening to a rewound tape-recorded documentary.  As I lay in the hospital bed, recovering from surgery, I''m reminded in my spirit, first and foremost, I am a child of God.  Secondly, even as a child of the Heavenly King there are natural laws that generations of peoples, from the Israelites down through time unto the people of this great country, that cannot be inherently dishonoured.  These laws cannot be violated but only fulfilled.  Consequences must be paid and what is sown shall be reaped.
     The surgery had gone well.  A new daughter was born.  We rejoiced, her father and I.  The turmoil of a long nine months had finally come to an end.  This child must be special and certainly blessed.  So many were drawn to us, my unborn and I,  as we went about the day’s business during the pregnancy.  Some would lay a hand, say a kind word or even prophesy.  Surely, they were angels unaware.  They asked me to smile, to drop the wrinkle from my brow.  Little did they know the man I loved did not believe this child was his.  Never had I felt so betrayed and alone. This was a man of God he''d told me. Should I have believed this self-proclaimed status for more than six year? He was not a stranger to me but a friend of many years.  I asked myself, "Why not believe him?" A congregation of hundreds...thousands did. They ordained him a deacon, Deacon Leon James.
     This deacon man understood the scriptures and studied with me, prayed with me, encouraged me and finally loved me.  Why then was he like all the rest? Or even worst? He counseled families, couples, and bares strong witness to the work of the Almighty.  How could this man not understand the basic divine rights of a woman?
     For years, Bishop T. D. Jakes has ministered to women via television programs. My very own pastor, Bishop Eddie L. Long, has spoken life into thousands of women as well.  Had it not been for Bishop Long, my child would never have been born.  I sanctified my impure thoughts of abortion by proclamation, "I''m a New Birth woman now.  My witness is greater today than ever before".  I knew the strength of the Holy Spirit had brought me to this point. From leaving my familiar surroundings through coming to Atlanta, I heard the voice of our God, the Father speak.  Sure, I was frightened.  But even more afraid of where I may go if I didn''t hear and obey.  Later I found that I, along side many others stood together at the alter on Sunday. We had came to ''conquer and possess''.  My many nights of crying and questions would soon end, be answered, and my destiny fulfilled.
     This word I share is part testimony, born of a journey.  Perhaps is may represent one of the unwritten epistles we live daily and may it serve to glorify God.  The following excerpts are a jig-saw glimpse into my own personal experience representing spiritual principles and truths.  It is my earnest prayer that it will prick the hearts and minds of women everywhere who read it, especially those upcoming generations of young women, our daughters. May this provide wisdom in dating and power for our joining together in marriage. Beginnings foretell endings.
