About the Book

My book, Caught Up, is a story made up of twelve short stories. Each chapter has its own characters, its own mood, its own setting, and its own story-line. Each chapter takes place in a different US city. Every character in Caught Up is between the ages of twelve and nineteen years old. Each chapter talks about how the teens feel about themselves, their family and friends, life and God. At the end of every chapter, the main characters disappear based on their feelings about God, and whether or not they are friends with him.

Caught Up deals with every issue from a teen''s perspective: from "normality" (yeah right!) to Gothica, black magic to drugs and alcohol, Christian and secular music, wrist-slitting and suicide to the elements of "salvation", weddings, funerals, date rape, murder, video games, sex, pedophilia, and homosexuality to the "straight life."

But if you are ready to be challenged, if you are tired of being picked on, if you are ready for a much-needed change in the boring library of Father Time''s literary collection, and if you are tired of buying or getting books written by old people who don''''t give a crap about you or your perspective, buy this book. But I''m warning you- be open-minded or else !

If you''re still holding this book, you are a brave soul and I have tons of respect for you. So give in and buy my book already! Geez!

About the Author

Hi. My name is Kenny Wozniak. I am twenty years old. I live at home with my mom and dad, Ken and Nancy Wozniak, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I became an author simply by hobby. I started working on Caught Up in the fall of 2000; I was a high school sophomore. I would''''ve gotten Caught Up written and published sooner. But I wrote this book during the remainder of my time in high school, losing my beloved sister Kim to a drug overdose in March of ''''02. I graduated from high school in May of ''''03. When the reality ofmy sister''''s death finally hit me, I went through a horrible depression, full of anger and dark feelings.

Then, in my second semester of college, in March of ''''04, I had an awful car wreck. But I stepped out of that smashed car a different person, thankful to be alive, humbled by Jesus Christ, redefined. I got counseling.

Since then, Jesus has helped me daily with the healing process. He has helped me become a big brother and mentor to many other guys who are several years younger than m)''''self. Mentoring other guys, loving them unconditionally, spending time with them, talking with them about their issues -that is my new passion.

That is the reason I write this book. I refuse to be a part of a church that covers their ears and eyes, ignoring my beloved "Generation y ." I choose to listen, love, and accept them for who they are -the Goths, the punks, the skaters, the porn addicts, the homosexual community, the heavy-metal music lovers, the trash canned. My Jesus is a God who loves everyone, and he can use anyone he pleases. He used Timothy. May this work of five years of love bring revival to the church of "Generation Y."
