About the Book

What is one of the first things you think; when you see a man or woman in a military uniform? Most of us generally think “oh, he’s in the military or it’s great to see women being successful in the military.” We often fail to realize that person is more than just military personal. Our service men and woman are the ones who have committed themselves to be responsible for our freedom. They have taken on the challenges of protecting and serving not only U.S. but there families as well. It’s really amazing to see a picture of a soldier; he’s on a rescue mission in a far away country.  His face is painted for battle, standing strong in his uniform with no visible weakness; he’s ready to fight for what we believe in. now picture that same soldier as a father being compassionate with his young children or being the best friend of his wife and being loved as a son or brother. Imagine a mother with peanut butter and jelly stains on her cheeks, they’re from the kisses she receives for fixing a great picnic and a walk in the park, and the vulnerability seen in her eyes is inexpressible. This mom is the same solider that has bandaged wounds and stabilized hundreds of her fellow comrades with precision. This book is about looking past the obvious stereotypes that we so often place on our United States military. Allow this book to show U.S. what words sometime can not express. So, the next time you’re in the presence of a military man or woman, respect them for their integrity and honor and the courage that they have for our country and appreciate them and their love ones for their countless sacrifices.
