About the Book

This book deals with coping with life and every day struggles.  It is about giving praise for what God has done and will continue to do.  This book deals with relationships, even getting over being hurt by those you love.  It is inspiration that no matter where you are in life, God is actually there and He truly is concerned about you and your feelings as a child of God.  God wants us to know that we are overcomers and we can always go through with the help of His divine Spirit.  God has so much to offer us and we should be grateful in our hearts for all things, for they work together for the good of those who love God.  This book is also about my personal expressions while I was going through changes in my life.  I found inner strength from God as I wrote my feelings down and I was able to endure.

About the Author

Sherred Ann Johnson Thomas was born April 4, 1963, to the late Nathaniel and Rosie Lee Johnson in the small southeastern town of Silsbee, Texas. She married in 1981 to Mr. Edgar A. Thomas, Sr.  Three children were born to this union, Shakeitha, Sherred Y., and

Edgar Jr.

Sherred has always had a desire for reading, which ultimately led her into competitive reading of poetry in high school.  She is also a gifted public speaker.  Sherred began writing poetry in 1992 to relieve stress from a job change.  She wrote her feelings and her desires on paper.  Then the writing progressed from there to experiences in her life, and even to many people she came in contact with.  Her words of poetry were also turned into songs of praise.  She is also a writer of plays. Her writing expressed how much she needed and wanted God to be the ultimate Lord of her life.  Sherred also likes to use her choreography of praise dancing to express her passion of love for God.

Some of her passions are sewing, creative arts, and above all, caring for her family.  Sherred has been a part of God’s family since the age of 13.  These poems that are compiled and edited in this book are for the sole purpose of taking you to a higher level in your relationship with God.
