Life's Hills and Valleys

OCEAN

The birds fly, the water roars, the sun shines so bright,

Yet when dark falls it''s just as lovely, the moon glimmering at night.

The one place that''s so peaceful I can dream whatever I want too,

And with the magic of the ocean, I know it will come true.

From the sand sifting through my toes, and the vast amount of space,

The memory of this scene could never be replaced.

Time seems to stand still, yet nothing stays the same,

For if I blink my eyes, I''ve lost it, with no one to blame.

The wind seems to come from nowhere, and then becomes so still,

It seems to have a mind of it''s own combined with power and will.

The sense of belonging is so powerful and yet,

There is a certain mystery deep within it''s depth.

The one I can count on no matter what the day,

The ocean will always be there, it will never go away.

For when I need it I can always depend,

On a good listener, the ocean, a forever friend.
