BIOGRAPHY—DANNY M. CUELLAR

            Danny M. Cuellar was born in San Angelo, Texas. He enjoyed playing football in elementary school, junior high school, and high school. At age twenty, he hitchhiked to California and lived there for thirty-two years.

            He married and had two sons and five grandchildren. He worked and attended school in Fresno, California. He was employed by the California Youth Authority for ten years. A riot caused Dan to retire early due to the injuries he sustained on the job. He continued his education and received an Associates of Arts degree along with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminology and Corrections.

            He became a bail bondsman and at one time owned three bail agencies. He later worked for an insurance surety company for three years. He has arrested at least 6,000 fugitives in his eighteen years as a bounty hunter.

            After his nearly fatal accident in August of 2001, he moved back to West Texas and married his high school sweetheart. He has had his biography written by French author and photojournalist Oliver Pighetti. He was technical supervisor and star of the TV series Bounty Hunters.

            Currently, he is writing volumes 2 and 3 of his adventures as a bounty hunter.
