This is a "tale of two feathers" that all pet lovers will relate to.  It is based on a true life story of a family''s pet parakeet named Jade, who gets lost one day never to return.  But the family finds another devoted pet and names him Skipper. Skipper brings much happiness to the family, and even understands human language! In the end, Jade''s disappearance is resolved, and we are reminded just how important our pets are to us.

About the Author

Beverly Hoffman Erickson has been writing her entire life. As a child she wrote short stories. She started her own publishing company entitled Feather Fables Publishing Company in 1993. She was born in South Bend, Indiana and moved to Venice, Florida in 1983. She is the author of two other books, A Flower For Iggey and Toy on Top of a Christmas Tree which was chosen for a PetSmart award.
