Did you know that my feelings for you,
Are only the beginnings?
Of what my heart daily goes thru,
That I can care for you in this way,
So I fall deeper into the,
Quicksand of my loneliness, each & everyday
Simply because I care for you,
Would it pleasure you to know?
That I dream about you constantly,
& all the fantasies you mean to me,
That I hold you in a place,
Like roses in a delicate crystal vase,
In the bright sunshine &
Then again the warmest night,
Simply because I desire you so,
Has anyone else ever said true things?
About the happiness your heart brings,
No one else can ever love you so,
& somewhere in your heart,
I believe you know,
You are my angel,
In a fairy tale the stars in the sky wrote,
Of the love, that the poets spoke,
Simply because I want you so,
Just one kiss, on just one day,
To make your heart feel things,
My words can not say,
Just one time, to hold you so close,
You would feel my demons,
Be afraid of my ghosts,
While they haunt me because of you,
The things I could put you thru,
Simply because of the passion in this fire
Yet I wait for you to call,
& that you will,
Every woman has the need to feel,
That there is love for her,
& that this same love is so very real,
Not infatuated, fading with the setting sun,
But that it is born again, inside of her,
As each brand new day begun,
Like this torch I carry for you,
For days, & years, & hours, not true?

About the Book
The LJ (Love Jones) Chronicles, is a representation of emotional photographs, taken from the camera of life, just when you thought no one was looking. Not necessarily an agreeable point of view, but if you ever had an addiction, you are aware of the condition, of having a Jones for something. I have at times been the photographer, and at times had my emotions captured in the dark room. Still the light of day, reflects things you did not see behind the flash, so the photo is indeed worth a thousand words.
Having been a soldier and having soldiered for things I will not compromise, I only hope that some of these poems can remind you of some happy photos in life. If not happy days, maybe real ones, as in the end they are one in the same. So that your journey thru these pages may make you smile, contemplate and think. Having a Jones for Love has kept me sitting by the fire, at the risk of being burned, and or sweating like a junkie from the heat.
Now that you have been invited to look thru my album of feelings, and museum of thoughts, look at this from both sides. Your interpretation of the lines and the thoughts, are what you see, looking through the camera, of your own Jones.
