What a special year! A great event -to be talked about for decades - was about to occur. Many people never forgot that first occasion. It had touched them tenderly.
The event that happened ninety years later was essentially a repeat of the first episode! What are those odds? I am not fond of statistics; but I would like to say a million to one!
Many people left the church after the second marvel, saying, “How could that happen?” Who was first? Him or her? (sic) One thing was easy to explain. God had a brilliant plan. I like to think it was staged for me, a person who loves unique ceremonies and comparisons. However, that is a selfish thought. The reflection of how much love these two people showed for each other overwhelmed me.
It all began with the birth of a baby and continued to the romance of her youth and the ultimate -eventful death that included two people. These two people were to live and leave as one flesh.

“Grace, get ready, my dear, Jim will soon be here. I will Mom! I am fixing my hair! Grace, Grace, I hear a car. Grace felt a light headed—floaty feeling and a sick stomach all at once. Where are my shoes! Oh, forget them! She ran –barefooted—but in a nice dress to that gate. The car stopped. Bob stayed back and for once was quiet.
They met with –their eyes—and they bonded as no other. They were one from that day on to eternity. Jim said not a word. Grace said not a word. They said everything with their heart. Quickly picking her up in his arms, they swung open wide that gate and walked a short distance. Then he kissed her deeply, long and with strong emotions. It had been a year. Sometimes hardship makes the heart stronger and yet softer, too. Their bodies fused on that day.

I love telling the story about a tiny baby going to church in a rugged wagon ride on Christmas. As softly as snow, her love blanketed the church. The church is still there today, in the Norwegian Capitol of Texas! Her home & the church have historical marker‘s. It is amazing how far we have come in technology. However, there is one thing that changes not; love. Love continues forever from generation to generation. She and her mate married. They were the greatest generation, to have survived WWII. marry her in a . Their love was fueled by God. It was truly an explosion of love. The woman at ninety, was laid on her altar at church, to enter into eternal rest. It didn’t stop there, her mate could not live without her and with the miracle and power of love, they lived and left as one flesh. These two deaths at Christmas were not met with weeping; but with celebration. This book is written so that no one will forget that in this troubled world, love can conquer sadness & wrath because love is more powerful than these. I give my love to my son today, that is he in the picture, so that he will carry on this legacy. If you like stories of WWII, of little angels and history this is one book you will read and never forget.
