About the Book

A collaborator has cost the lives of several allied agents, in Vichi France, early in World War two, by informing on new arrivals in that area to the Germans.  John, a Franco-American boy, hears about this, and proposes a very unorthodox proposition; that a teenage boy, fluent in French, and posing as a war orphan, would not be suspected an agent by either the Germans or the traitor.  He assumes the identity of Jean Pierre Lemaire, a boy injured in a bombing in Liege Belgium, having a French father and a German mother, and is being repatriated to France.  The book covers John’s acceptance, training, and activities, with the French Resistance in France and the boy’s German relatives in Germany.

About the Author

Mr. Vincent is a retired automation and robotics engineer, with a Masters Degree in Organizational Management.  He has published articles in various engineering periodicals, and translations of foreign patents.  He has been guest speaker at several engineering society dinners and meetings.  An army veteran of the mid forties, the multi-lingual author draws upon personal experiences prior to and during World War two, and his travels in France, Germany, and Belgium to develop a fictional story of love, intrigue and espionage in the Mid-Pyrenees.  The Archangel Project is based on the premise that what is apparent is not necessarily true, by accomplishing what was considered initially a preposterous undertaking; that of introducing Cherub into the French Resistance during World War Two.
