About the Book

In this page-turner, the second in a series, forensic accountant Jack Reynolds, agrees to assist a beautiful client in locating her long-lost inheritance. Because things are never as they seem, the search delves into secret plans and patents that enabled elements of the U.S. Navy to contribute to the successful outcome of World War II, some sixty years earlier.  In the search process, Jack, his pal Danny Lorenzo and a host of assorted participants come across sophisticated technologies that a major world power is now determined to acquire, even if they must kill to do so.  The chase leads from the west coast to the east coast and finally onto the warm, pastel island of Bermuda and a final scene that unravels it all, to the delight of the reader.

About the Author

Joseph Clinard writes novels for fun and loves the challenge of weaving a demanding tale.  A respected member of the Financial Planning community on Long Island and CEO of a local securities firm, Clinard has spent the better part of the past forty years assisting clients with their investment program as well as teaching in the CFP Program at both Adelphi University and on Long Island University’s C.W. Post campus.  As founder of the International Association for Financial Planning Chapter on Long Island (now the Financial Planning Association), Joe was known for articles on finance and other professional writings up until his first novel in 2004, when Transference was released. Now he sees writing fiction as an exciting part of his future.  A third Jack Reynolds adventure is presently in the works with publication plans for sometime in late 2005.  His circle of new fans will be waiting, for sure.
