About the Author
Linda Pettit, a published poet and Breast Cancer survivor, grew up in Limerick,
As her daughters were growing up, Linda entertained them with fun stories and magical adventures. Today, she continues to share them...In fact, “A Thing So Rare” was written as a gift for granddaughter Lacy, who inspired the character Princess Lorraine.
Each year, Linda creates a “Survivor Quilt” which she raffles to raise donations for the American Cancer Society. Her passion to find a cure is unyielding…as such, a portion of the proceeds from “A Thing So Rare”will be donated to fund research to fight children’s cancers.
