Locating her bags she released the straps out and pulled them behind her towards the information desk. Mr. Tanaka watched the people as they approached . He noticed a young lady who seem to be upset. Then he noticed her long hair. That had to be her. Carefully he approached her.
“ Gen?” He asked carefully.
“ Yes?” She said softly.
“ I’m Mike Tanaka.”
“ Thank....you for....meeting ...” She said then looked away to hide her tears
“ Are you alright?” He asked carefully she could only shake her head in reply.
“Here let me take those for you.”
“ Thank you.” She whispered in a choked voice.
“ What is the problem?” He asked as he walked beside her.
“ My father called me moments after you. He wanted me to write him. He never apologized for the remarks about the apartment. He thinks is nothing short of a trash heap located somewhere on Garbage island. He thinks that I should be in a thousand a month condo with a cook , maid and guard. He fails to understand that for the moment this is the best I can afford. He didn’t even think to offer money to help out in anyway.” She was sobbing softly as they left the bustling terminal
“Well contrary to his low opinion, it is nice, clean apartment on a lovely residential street.”
“I am sorry I went off like this but it was painful to know that the man who you worshiped all you life can’t trust you to leave home, and start a new life. One you wished for over two years.”
“Mind if I ask you, but who is your father?”
“ Paul Hollander, multi millionaire.”
“Jesus Christ!” Was all Mike said as he recognized the name.
“ Not quite.” She said as she wiped at her tears

About the Author
Carla Killam has been writing books since the mid eighties taking ideas from songs, and vacation places.
She resides in her family home in Rock Springs Wyoming with her she has her pet dog Skruffy and three cats Musty, Scooter, and Scamper who keep her on track.
Her main interests are centered on her two daughters Dana and Kelly and her granddaughters. She enjoys taking care of her home and yard in the summer. Carla also enjoys seeing new places that will give her ideas for future stories.
